Safe4Care has updated its range of viscoelastic mattresses, offering healthcare professionals more options to cater to patients who need pressure relief, pain reduction, and improved sleep quality. The available foams come in densities ranging from 45 to 150 kg/m³ for low-, moderate-, and high-risk patients.

The new memory foam mattresses combine viscoelastic SAF foam with high-resilience (HR) foam, providing users with pressure relief and comfort.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Viscoelastic foam covers a variety of foams with very different qualities, ranging from inexpensive and slowly responding foams to expensive foams with specific properties. We have chosen to only work with high-quality foams, which possess the specific properties that are essential for use in nursing environments.”
One of Safe4Care's featured products, the Air-2, is a high-quality, pressure-distributing mattress designed to adapt to the user's body shape much better and faster. This foam also provides better airflow and moisture concentration owing to its open-celled air-foam technology.
The Air-2 memory foam mattress features a reversible design, allowing it to be used with either side up. One side has a 5-cm viscoelastic foam layer to provide pressure relief. The other side has 4 cm of high-quality 50kg HR foam that is cut into squares, serving as a standard mattress surface.
One of the primary advantages of Safe4Care's viscoelastic foams is their easy handling and maintenance. Even under rough handling, the viscoelastic memory foams maintain their shape and resilience, making them reliable for day-to-day use in demanding hospital and nursing home settings.
The foams can be cleaned at high temperatures of up to 95° C and are suitable for air-drying or autoclaving. Customers can buy the memory foams with a Safe4Care-FLEX cover that can be cleaned with the most common disinfectants. The cover is also available in a variety of colors to suit the customer’s theme.
